ADHD Awareness: Breaking Stereotypes and Building Understanding
I make a guest podcast appearance on The radicalBLend with Keisha J. Mathew
Hello readers!
Since my last update, I’ve been working in the background on some exciting collaborations, and I’m delighted to be able to share the first of these today! Last week I was a guest on Keisha J. Mathew’s The radicalBLend podcast to talk about all things ADHD. Keisha is a therapist and licensed clinical social worker here in Chicago, her therapy and coaching practice is radicallyBLended Services.
Keisha and I met at a women’s networking event and connected over the similarities in our entrepreneurial journey as well as our shared passion for spreading good information about mental health. When she asked me if I wanted to have a conversation about ADHD on her podcast, I jumped at the chance! Keisha brings her experience as a social worker in Chicago Public Schools to the conversation—with insight into supporting kids and families through the diagnosis process.
In this episode, we discuss:
What ADHD can look like beyond the stereotypes
Who gets missed in the diagnosis and treatment process and why that matters
Some painful sources of stigma that can go along with ADHD
Supporting kids, families, loved ones who may be going through the diagnosis process
and more!
I hope you’ll give this conversation a listen and let me know what you think in the comments or by hitting reply if you received this as an email.
Until next time!
